**San José, Costa Rica. April 15, 2020. **[Byte](https://www.byteme.com/), a multinational company in the life sciences industry and dedicated to producing orthodontic medical devices, announced that it will hire 150 more people in Costa Rica, due to the growth of its local operations.

Byte launched its Costa Rican operations in Heredia, in June 2019 with just four people; today, it has more than 250 employees, and 150 new hires are expected during 2021.

As part of the decision-making process to continue its local growth, the company cited Costa Rica’s remarkable talent pool; a strong presence over the last several years from the industry’s largest companies; as well as the country’s proximity to Byte’s target markets, including the United States.

Pablo Rojas, General Manager at Byte, stated: “Costa Rica has an incredibly attractive talent pool for our industry. Additionally, people here are interested in getting involved in projects based on innovation, with different work schemes, organization, opportunities, and inclusion – and it’s not only those who participate within the company but also those who provide a service; there is a lot of interest in learning and making a difference. Companies must take advantage of all these factors to create opportunity, and Costa Rica’s stable environment is ideal to do so. There is much to do."

Andrés Valenciano, Minister of Foreign Trade, commented: “Once again, reinvestments prove to be of special relevance, as sources of employment and development for our nation. Byte’s growth is a vote of confidence in our country, with 150 new jobs being added in the life sciences sector. Without a doubt, companies like Byte have become our strategic allies, generating greater well-being for the Costa Rican population. We will continue pushing toward our goal – and we hope to be successful, working hand-in-hand with multinational companies like Byte – of growing into a better, more inclusive, and resilient nation."
